Meet the Principal

I am thrilled to serve you as a principal of Lathrop Elementary School!

Before becoming principal, I was a Dean/Assistant Principal of students at Lathrop for two years. In addition, I taught middle school for 13 years within RPS 205. My educational background includes a Bachelor’s of Education and a Master’s of Art in Curriculum and Instruction, and I am finalizing my second Master's in Leadership with Northern Illinois University.

It is my honor to lead Lathrop Elementary School and the many talented teachers and students. My goal is to support a climate and culture conducive to teaching and learning. I believe that we are lifelong learners and want to set that example for our students and staff.

I have one daughter, and she attends Lathrop. My hobbies are learning different languages and cultures, given that I was born and raised in Brazil. I speak fluent Portuguese, English, and Spanish and have polite knowledge of French and German.
